GetYourGuide’s mission is to give the whole world access to incredible experiences. Over the last few months, our tech team has been improving the core discovery and search experience to help customers find your products more easily.
These updates will be released during November, for attractions tickets, attractions walking tours, city walking tours, and city motorized tours in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Dubai, London, Miami, New York City, Paris, Rome, Sydney, and Vienna. These features are being tested and will eventually be rolled out to other destinations.
These improvements aim to help our local partners’ business grow by providing a better experience for customers.
The 3 new features are: The Discovery Assistant, Activity Cards, and Landing Pages.
The Discovery Assistant
The Discovery Assistant is an interactive filter that gives customers the possibility to configure their search so that when they discover an activity, it’s the right experience for them.
Activity Cards help customers:
- Have better visibility over the type of activity they book (see screenshot below of a skip the line ticket).
- Clearly see the differences between options of activities that they’re interested in. For e.g. differences in group size, or tour duration.
Landing Pages provide a better user flow by:
- Helping customers to better identify the experiences in a given destination.
- Curating collections. Based on our data, we curated activities into collections for each landing page in order to better surface the inventory.
